Yin Yoga is a perfect canvas for meditative contemplation like Metta, which the ancients' define as a compassion practice. By slowing down the speed with which we practice asana we linger a while...in stillness... over time...with awareness...key principles of Yin Yoga. We become more attuned to our inner dialogue...the truth of distractions...compulsions or aversions...judgements about ourselves or others. Studies show negativity begets more negativity. A metta practice is a remarkably healing undertaking to redirect less than positive thoughts. Intertwine Metta with meditative Yin Yoga asanas to awaken the compassion spigot; towards ourselves, our relationships, our communities & ultimately towards the Planet, boosting acceptance and embrace, lessening strife and reactivity. Become more adept at filling your own well...then reach out to others. Join us for this fusion of introspective, practices gifted from the ancients.
